摘要: The site selective electrodeposition of silver metal onto a conducting object such as carbon microtubes (CMTs) in an electrolytic solution could be achieved by means bipolar electrochemistry. Two half reactions are simultaneously carried out at both extremities the CMT, which act electrode. thermodynamic threshold value process, consists electroreduction and concomitant water oxidation is directly related to length CMT. That reason why, when scaling down methodology microscale objects, electric fields range tenths kilovolts per meter necessary. In that context, CE apparatus provides convenient experimental platform achieve straightforward manner conditions. We exemplify this with efficient quick Ag+ on CMTs from low-concentration aqueous during migration across fused capillary. allows applying safely large enough field (typically ∼30 kV/m) for successful modification 15 20 μm-long substrates. corresponding hybrid materials have been characterized optical microscopy well SEM energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy.
