摘要: Neodymium, samarium, and dysprosium concentrations were determined in groundwaters along a transect of Lake Gilmore sediments from the shoreline toward playa center with future intention employing whole suite rare earth elements (REE). Two different water bodies identified groundwater/playa system based on neodymium, associated pH salinity values. Shallow that discharge margins had highest these lowest salinity. A more saline entrained brine was middle higher values observed dysprosium. Groundwaters transitional values, pH, also recorded transect. The data suggest acidic shallow remove REE surrounding granitic rocks Yilgarn block introduce them into where they are removed solution as increases. Evaporative concentration does not appear to have significant effect system. Other factors such increasing scavenging by iron oxyhydroxides which precipitate rises exert control removing solution.
