摘要: It was hypothesized that bilingual Iranian immigrants in the United States who prefer to use Persian language, compared Iranians English, would be more likely express a desire return Iran live. Participants were 292 (128 men, 164 women) completed questionnaire with similar content, prepared on one side and English other side. given option either complete or version of questionnaire. Results confirmed research hypothesis suggesting immigrants’ preference using their native language serves as “pull” factor increases probability country birth. also found women younger respondents less Iran. Level education, marital status, years living States, attitudes toward marriage family did not predict such desire. Implications for acculturation counseling culturally diverse clients are discussed. Policy implications attract back birth
