摘要: In view of the great psychological effect deafness has on one's social life, scientific community long sought best way to define hearing function. The development new technologies in this field set "early intervention" as primary target for screening. For reason, within contest a program audiological newborn screening, Authors have used data from selected group 1250 newborns (a) compare clinical feasibility and performance three different DPOAE protocols (b) establish scoring criteria defining "pass" or "fail" responses. All subjects participating study were randomly their normal was verified by linear TEOAE recordings. test carried out, using an Otodynamics ILO92 Analyser version 5.60, second day life later (in case extended recovery), during natural sleep after feeding. recordings elicited asymmetric stimuli with L1 > L2 frequency-ratio 1.22 following SPL protocols: 60-50 dB (PR1), 65-55 (PR2) 75-65 (PR3). Five frequencies cubic distortion product (referring f2) tested ILO macro at 1.5 KHz, 2.0 3.0 4.0 KHz 5.0 KHz. statistical evaluation differences signal-to-noise ratio (S/N) between PR1 PR2 showed no significant differences. On other hand found PR3 S/N ratios, former providing (higher values). defined minimum free distribution tolerance intervals ratios five frequencies. conclusion confirms un iversal screening shows appropriate pass-fail parameters be purpose. It should noted that approach enables acquisition frequency-specific information which might further improve diagnosis.
