摘要: Chromosome aberrations (CAs) and sister chromatid exchanges (SCEs) frequencies were estimated in peripheral lymphocytes from 21 radiology technicians, non-exposed control subjects. We exclusively considered individuals who neither smoke nor consume drugs or alcohol for a period of at least two years prior to the analysis. Significant differences found between exposed controls terms SCEs CAs frequencies. Technicians showed significant higher number high-frequency (HFIs) with respect group. Nevertheless, mean frequency observed among technician HFIs did not significantly differ that HFIs. Vice versa, non-HFIs belonging technicians group statistically difference SCEs/NSM value Since groups are due non-HFIs, our results seem indicate general genotoxic effect IR, affected by Among level chromosome damage correlated radiation exposure age group, positive correlation was age. In both samples gender status influence SCEs. Our suggest chronic long-term low doses ionizing could increase This study reinforces relevance biomonitoring hospital workers chronically radiation.
