Selective Laser Melting is one the Additive Manufacturing technologies that enables production complex shaped individual parts with series identical mechanical properties without need part specific tooling downstream sintering processes, etc. However, state-of-the-art process cost efficiency not yet suited large-scale In order to improve this enable SLM enter it indispensable increase build rate significantly by means increased laser power larger beam diameters. Hence, new machine including kW multi-beam system developed first experimental results are shown.
