摘要: Abstract Lenses of 3-month-old calves were divided into nine concentric layers. The protein extracts these fractions submitted to gel chromatography on agarose A-5 m. From the epithelium nucleus, content α-crystallin decreased significantly, whereas a high molecular weight fraction, resembling in u.v. spectrum as well polypeptide composition, increased markedly. An analogous phenomenon was observed group β-crystallins. proportion lower fraction and that higher from i.e. according age fibre cells. highest γ-crystallin found nucleus. activity lens leucine aminopeptidase be outer cortex fractions, synthetically active area lens.
