Measurement of the mass difference between top quark and antiquark in pp collisions at s=8 TeV

摘要: Abstract The invariance of the standard model (SM) under CPT transformation predicts equality particle and antiparticle masses. This prediction is tested by measuring mass difference between top quark antiquark ( Δ m t = − ‾ ) that are produced in pp collisions at a center-of-mass energy 8 TeV, using events with muon or an electron least four jets final state. analysis based on data corresponding to integrated luminosity 19.6  fb 1 collected CMS experiment LHC, yields value 0.15 ± 0.19 (stat) 0.09 (syst)  GeV , which consistent SM expectation. result significantly more precise than previously reported measurements.
