摘要: While ectopic overexpression of serotonin N-acetyltransferase (SNAT) in plants has been accomplished using animal SNAT genes, plant genes not investigated. Because the protein differs from that animals its subcellular localization and enzyme kinetics, would be expected to give outcomes distinct those observed transgenic plants. Consistent with our expectations, we found rice overexpressing (Oryza sativa) SNAT1 (OsSNAT1) did show enhanced seedling growth like ovine SNAT-overexpressing plants, although both types exhibited increased melatonin levels. OsSNAT1-overexpressing significant resistance cadmium senescence stresses relative wild-type controls. In contrast tomato, synthesis seedlings was induced by selenium OsSNAT1 tolerance selenium. T2 homozygous grain yield due panicle number per under paddy field conditions. These benefits conferred had SNAT, suggesting functions differently
