摘要: The central role of RNA polymerase (RNAP) is to catalyze the processive synthesis a growing transcript. Recent structural and biophysical data have led deeper understanding nucleotide addition cycle insight into structure-function relationships that govern transcription elongation. In this review, we discuss kinetic on incorporation in context crystal structures, which show RNAP multiple conformations. We present facilitated Brownian ratchet model incorporation, templated NTP binding non-catalytic site main channel promotes conformational changes lead opening catalytic translocation.
