Timing of Eocene–Miocene thrust activity in the Western Axial Zone and Chaînons Béarnais (west-central Pyrenees) revealed by multi-method thermochronology

摘要: We present new apatite (U–Th)/He (AHe), fission track (AFT) and zircon (ZHe) data to unravel the timing of exhumation thrusting in western Axial Zone Pyrenees adjacent North Pyrenean (Chainons Bearnais). In north, ZHe yield cooling signals between 26 50 Ma Chainons Bearnais, which are consistent with onset thrust-related neighboring Mauleon Basin modeled by previous authors. Non-reset Triassic ages found footwall Frontal thrust (Aquitaine Basin). To south, similar both hanging wall Lakora record Late Eocene Oligocene that we attribute activity Gavarnie thrust. Thermal modeling samples from indicates Early times, recording Paleozoic detrital westernmost Eaux-Chaudes Balaitous–Panticosa granitic plutons AFT 20 30 25 Ma. Modelling fast during this time, motion Guarga AHe these plutons, combined modelling, show a post-tectonic signal (8–9 Ma), renewed erosion after period without major 10
