摘要: Maspin (mammary serpin) is a novel serine protease inhibitor related to the serpin family with tumor-suppressing function in breast cancer. was originally identified from normal mammary epithelium by subtractive hybridization and might as class II tumor-suppressor gene. Maspin's decreased expression increased level of malignancy its loss metastatic cells regulated at transcriptional level. Cytosin methylation heterochromatinization promoter region account for this down-regulation maspin. Transfection tumor maspin cDNA inhibits invasion motility decreases growth ability nude mice. interacts p53 pathway an angiogenesis vitro vivo. The progressive during progression makes new protein interesting diagnostic prognostic marker. re-expression pharmacological intervention potentially offers promising approach therapeutic option cancer therapy.
