摘要: Amino acid uptake and metabolism by cells plays an important role in regulating maintaining cellular function. In most mammalian cells, amino acids are a major source of energy the products their influence many physiological pathological processes. Many pathophysiological alterations observed clinical syndromes can only be elucidated at or molecular level. Membrane transport is essential for functioning may help explain several changes disease states. Red blood (RBCs) lack nucleus mitochondria have lost ability to synthesize protein, however, they resilient capable extraordinary shape, haemoglobin efficiently transports delivers oxygen. The adequate longevity erythrocytes depend on satisfactory relationship between cell membrane (Hillman Finch 1996). absence mitochondria, RBCs limited metabolize fatty acids, supply derived largely from breakdown glucose. specific metabolic characteristics provide particular need that not entirely clear. glutathione therefore require systems supplying precursors this molecule, namely cysteine, glutamate glycine. Glutathione protects exogenous oxidants reactive electrophiles (Tun-nicliff 1994).
