In situ synthesis of a multifunctional polymer with a stable core-shell structure for effective dewatering

摘要: A multifunctional polymer that was magnetic and had a high water absorption ability prepared via synthesis of magnetite nanoparticles followed by surface modification polymerization. The structure morphology the were characterized X-ray diffractometer (XRD), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR), scanning electron microscope (SEM), transmission (TEM), energy dispersive spectroscope (EDS). content property analyzed thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) superconducting quantum interference device magnetometer (SQUID), respectively. results suggested stable core-shell structure, striking temperature-responsive property, property. Further work carried out to assess performance this at particle size 0.3–0.45 mm for dewatering fine coal (<0.25 in size). It found could give fast kinetics after each cycle, be readily separated simple separation then regenerated reused next cycle while maintaining same performance.
