摘要: Satellite laser ranging (SLR) to LAGEOS acquired during the period 1978–1988 has been analyzed yield estimates of tectonic motion for 22 tracking stations situated on seven major plates. The analysis is based precise modeling orbit dynamics and includes determination other geodynamic nonconservative force model parameters involved in problem at centimeter level. Site velocities were recovered from station positions determined each calendar quarter using a network adjustment procedure which maintains reference frame. Within stable interior plates, motions indicate good agreement with existing stress fields, particularly across northern Europe, eastern Pacific, Basin Range province North America. A comparison intersite centrally located separate plates between SLR those implied by NUVEL 1 geologic strong positive correlation 0.989 3–7% scale difference may be attributable recent changes relative or time uncertainties. Sites within 250 km convergent plate boundaries have additional components motion, indicating need further beyond that provided simple rigid motions. For lines crossing north Atlantic, San Andreas fault, province, geodesic rates are very long baseline interferometry, an alternative space geodetic technique.
