摘要: Abstract : Various schemes for the design of recontigurable printed antenna eiements are presented GPS and other applications. The elements can be linearly or circularly polarized. physical phenomenon behind these is based on modification EM propagation characteristics a dielectric substrate by using parasitic metallic strips connected switches. switches implemented with diodes, transistors RF MEMS. effectively change dimensions causing radiation surface waves supported within substrate. patterns changed in real time turning off. An reconfigurable polarized obtained four near all edges antenna. On hand, requires ring completely surrounding element. To reduce overall size antenna, an alternative configuration having smaller ground plane presented. Simulated results, FDTD code, to assess performance various designs.
