摘要: Abstract In this paper, we present a method for estimating local thickness distribution in finite element models, applied to injection molded and cast engineering parts. This features considerable improved performance compared two previously proposed approaches, has been validated against measured by different human operators. We also demonstrate that the use of assigning FEM crash simulations results much more accurate prediction real part performance, thus increasing benefits computer design enabling zero-prototyping reducing product development costs. The simulation have experimental tests, evidencing advantage method. Thus, approach consider high potential on process complex highly demanding parts is currently being used Ford Motor Company.
