摘要: Substitution of the (CH3)2CH=CH group by (CH3)2C=N in linalool as well (CH3)2CH-CH2 and sila-linalool does not lead to noticeable changes their scent qualities. On contrary, substitution OH at tertiary C atom NH2 or CH3 — hydride isosteric according toGrimm affords fishy etheric instead original flowery smells thus indicating a transition different basic classes odor. Similar results were obtained with linalool-like scents benzyldimethylcarbinol phenylethyldimethylcarbinol. Therefore theory ofAmoore, after which only shape size molecules are ruling odor qualities, must be called question.
