摘要: Because of the complex cervical vertebral embryology and some normal variations, atlantoadental interval (ADI) was not suitable for evaluation anatomic relationship between atlas axial in children less than 2 years old. And influence age gender on still unclear. Two novel parameters, atlas-axis anteroposterior distance (AAAD) lateral (AALD), were invented to evaluate axis no more 8 years old with different gender. Cross-sectional computed tomography (CT) scans atlantoaxial joint 140 randomly selected pediatric patients analyzed. On ideal CT reconstruction images, AAAD, AALD, bending angle (AALB), rotation (AARA) measured. There statistically significant difference mean AAAD groups. The 99% confidence 7.12–7.82 mm. correlation AALB/AARA AALD AALB/AARA. 7.12 mm or much 7.82 mm that suggested a possible instability could help diagnosis
