摘要: This work describes the floristic composition and forest structure of a tree community in Submontane Ombrofilous Dense Atlantic (Rio Vermelho Forest) compares this to other remnant forests region. Eight 100 m x 5 plots were allocated all trees > cm DBH sampled. A total 106 species was sampled, distributed 77 genus 32 families. The richest families number Leguminosae (13 species) Lauraceae (8). Monimiaceae (13% trees) (11%) had highest densities. most important (cover value) Siparuna guianensis, Apuleia leiocarpa, Cupania oblongifolia Machaerium brasiliensis. These are common secondary forests. diversity (H' = 3,91 nats.ind-1) can be considered within values found for Based on data high standing dead trees, supporting lianas, multiple stems early low large classified as an intermediate regenerating status. However, still has considerable richness with some endangered such Melanoxylon brauna Dalbergia nigra. Due its ecological importance local flora fauna fragmentation process region, should priority area establishment conservation management practices.
