摘要: Abstract Coronary artery calcium (CAC) scan can be obtained using chest computed tomography, with no use of contrast agents, and a relatively low radiation exposure. The mere absence is associated good prognosis in asymptomatic subjects patients at to medium risk coronary disease. CAC quantified different ways, higher scores being cardiovascular risk. carries both diagnostic prognostic information over above that determined by classical factors. This paper presents the overview current scanning, its advantages limitations, as well potential future applications.
