摘要: An extended elastic eigenvector approach for adatom interactions is applied to elastically isotropic substrates. The oscillating between monomers or dimers are caused by strain fields in the substrate. Expansive contractive surrounding adatoms form of quasi circular rings. exact shape ring structure depends on constants substrate and especially surface Brillouin zone. Interactions substrates depicted compared with an anisotropic example. Overlays 2-D plots can help identify structures effects prepare numerical calculations their energies. consequences different sorts interaction sign sketched, large short distance attraction could occur such cases. Limitations method discussed possible applications formulated.
