摘要: Although the prevailing conceptual model for health care access is Andersen Behavioral Model of Health Service Use, researchers have not evaluated empirically whether pathways are appropriate Asian Americans (AAs). Using path analysis with 2009 California Interview Survey data, we tested among predisposing, enabling, and need factors acculturation having a usual source (USC) AA adults. Pathway differences ethnic subgroups (Chinese, Koreans, Vietnamese) were also examined. The adequately predicted USC AAs. As expected, insurance was key predictor but higher education levels associated lower income USC. English proficiency contributed significantly to model. Ethnic subgroup models varied significantly. Findings suggest that behavioral studying AAs though vary by ethnicity. Pathways must be better understood.
