The influence of land use on the genetic structure of populations of the common frog Rana temporaria

摘要: In order to find out the influence of land use and topographic distance on genetic structure populations common frog Rana temporaria L. in Saar-Palatinate lowlands (Federal Republic Germany), tissue larvae was examined by means horizontal starch gel electrophoresis. A total 24 loci coding for 14 different enzymes were studied. Genotype frequencies, allele frequencies mean heterozygosity calculated, distances using Nei's formula. Strong deviations from Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium found; degree homozygosity higher than expected. Separation highways reduced average as well polymorphism local populations. One area surrounded roads had high other sampling stations. multiple regression analysis showed that motorways railways have a significant (p = 0·03) barrier effect within 3–4 km. Meadowland apparently enabled individual exchange range between 2 7 Consequences design biotope systems are discussed.
