摘要: Abstract Al-based metal–matrix composites reinforced with Al84Gd6Ni7Co3 glassy powders have been produced by accumulative roll bonding (ARB) for the first time. Microstructural analyses show that after nine ARB cycles, particles are homogeneously distributed in Al matrix. The fractography of samples indicates an excellent metallurgical is created at particles/matrix interface upon cycles. Microhardness and tensile tests demonstrate addition significantly improves mechanical properties, compared to pure ARBed Al.
