摘要: [1] A weakening of the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation (AMOC) in next century is simulated by most state-of-the-art coupled models but none them accounted for land-ice melting. Here we evaluate impact this melting on future climate projection using IPSL-CM4 ocean-atmosphere model. For purpose use two different versions model, one with a crude parameterization, and other without. The analysis compares results experiments where atmospheric CO2 increases 1%/yr, performed AMOC reduced 47% when considered, represents an extreme scenario. This reduction 21% without It shown that difference impacts northern hemisphere mostly through sea-ice cover feedback.
