摘要: Abstract The kinetics and statics of the adsorption a synthetic polyelectrolyte, sodium poly(2-sulfoethylmethacrylate), at solid-liquid interface have been examined as function added salt concentration polyelectrolyte molecular weight. It was found that given concentration, maximum (expressed on molar basis) essentially independent weight; whereas weight, both rate extent increased markedly with increasing concentration. Parallel viscosity experiments revealed this latter consequence fact medium became poorer solvent for increased. Thus in general greater lower intrinsic viscosity. From together finding could be completely reversed, it concluded weakly adsorbed solid surface form rather compact random coils. dimensions were proportional to those free coils solution.
