摘要: To facilitate safe placement of orthodontic anchor screws (miniscrews), we investigated the frequency maxillary sinus perforation after screw and effect on stability. Maxillary perforations involving 82 miniscrews (diameter, 1.6 mm; length, 8 mm) were evaluated using cone-beam computed tomography. All placed in alveolar bone between second premolar first molar for anchorage anterior retraction patients under- going extraction. The torque mobility each implant determined a tester Periotest device, vari- ability these values relation to was evaluated. Eight perforated sinus. There no case sinusitis with miniscrew signifi- cant difference or perforating non-perforating miniscrews. floor significantly thinner cases than non-perforated cases.
