Malignant Monoblasts Can Function as Effector Cells in Natural Killer Cell and Antibody-Dependent Cellular Cytotoxicity Assays

摘要: This is the first report describing natural killer (NK) and antibody- dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC) of malignant monoblasts. Pure acute monoblastic leukemia was diagnosed in bone marrow aspirations from two patients by use conventional cytochemical methods as well multiple immunologic techniques including detection ALL antigens terminal transferase. The cells were subsequently found to be potent effectors NK ADCC assays. Addition partially purified alpha-interferon vitro cultures have an enhancing effect on activity, whereas no modulation seen ADCC. These findings are discussed light our present knowledge lymphoid cells.
