摘要: Future intelligent transportation systems (ITSs) will deeply rely on millimeter waves for communication and sensing purposes. This results in the need of a precise description propagation properties at these frequencies. In this paper, mechanisms reflection diffraction realistic road surfaces geometries are investigated theoretically validated by measurements 77 GHz. The effect guided underneath vehicle's underbody is observed, which can be exploited favorable way range extension obstructed sight situations. It also shown that local curvature common leads to focusing defocusing effects transmitted energy, resulting an increased signal fluctuation. Furthermore, importance phenomena crests stressed, were formerly neglected but may play important role security sensitive applications like collision avoidance etc.
