摘要: Acute diarrhea, especially in children, is a very common disease with worldwide distribution and significant public health impact. Rotaviruses have been recognized as the major agents of diarrhea infants young children developed well developing countries. In Brazil, one principal causes death, mainly infant population. To fight traditional Brazilian medicine uses great variety plants. this work, 12 medicinal plant species were screened for simian (SA-11) human (HCR3) rotaviruses inhibition vitro. At non-cytotoxic concentrations, extracts from Artocarpus integrifolia L. (Moraceae) bark (480 microg/ml) Spondias lutea (Anacardiaceae) leaves (160 had antiviral activity against both viruses. They showed 99.2% 97%, respectively, rotavirus, 96.4% 96.2% rotavirus. The Myristica fragrans Houtt (Myristicaceae) seeds Spongias (40 inhibited rotavirus (90% 82.2% inhibition, respectively), whereas Anacardium occidentale (4 Psidium guajava (Myrtaceae) (8 only (82.2% 93.8% respectively). Our results indicate that integrifolia, can be useful treatment if etiologic agent
