摘要: The band gap of the ensemble oligoene clusters formed by thermocatalytic decomposition polyvinyl alcohol is parametrized using optical absorption spectra. A energy E gm =1.53 ± 0.02 eV at end an infinite polyene chain found extrapolating energies π → π* transitions in with a number double bonds varying from 4 to 12. This value close trans-polyacetylene and lower bound for Tauc gT =1.50 eV, which characterizes minimum interband transition energy. essentially independent concentration clusters, determined AlCl3 thermal catalyst. Urbach long wavelength edge spectrum falls 2.21 0.66 as raised 11.1 41.7 mmol per mol structural units.
