摘要: The transducing phages lambdadaroE and lambdadilv5, which carry the Escherichia coli ribosomal RNA operons rrnD rrnX, respectively, have been mapped with restriction endonucleases BamHI, EcoRI, HindIII, Sma I. Using hybridization techniques, we located genes on these phage DNAs. DNA sequence of 437-base-pair 16 S-23 S intergenic spacer in two rRNA rrnX has determined. nucleotides examined exhibit only one base pair change between rrnX. Both regions contain for tRNA1Ile tRNA1BAla; gene sequences are identical previously deduced tRNA clustered within first 60% DNA. most striking feature region is disparity G-C content (60% G-C) remaining (37% G-C). Spacer known to be involved processing transcript by RNase III P. In addition, report 108 pairs 23 gene.
