摘要: This case study reports on the speech, language and vocal skills of a set monozygous twin girls; one with pre-lingual hearing impairment subsequent cochlear implant, other functionally normal hearing. The twins' were analysed compared two occasions over seven-month period. Results from standardized assessments indicate that speech-production both girls within limits, although analysis their pragmatic, syntactic discourse indicated implanted had some persisting difficulties. Analysis voice qualitative quantitative abnormalities. results suggest need for an investigation into quality children implants. also indicates importance early intervention potential benefit implantation and/or signing pre-implant.
