摘要: Abstract Existence of high Fe[II] content in glass is a perquisite for achieving heat absorption property glass. Present study investigates the capability microwave (MW) irradiation retention higher eliminating stringent reducing atmosphere requirements conventional heating. Stabilisation under influence MW has been demonstrated, measuring absorbance at >1000 nm UV–vis-NIR spectra, maintaining identical conditions and Spectrophotometric methods developing color complex Fe 2+ with ferrozine 1, 10 ortho-phenanthroline are used to confirm Fe[II]. Further, more weight gain thermo gravimetric analysis, isomer shift (>0.89 mm/s) relative (% area) Mossbauer spectroscopy, shifting 2p 3/2 peak X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy towards lower binding energy further FeO irradiation.
