摘要: The web crippling failure becomes critical at the loading points or supports of beams where concentrated bearing forces are applied. This paper presents test results on CFRP stiffened LightSteel Beam (LSB) under end loads. A series laboratory tests were conducted. Three types strengthening methods used; applying plates outer side inner both sides web. It was found that significantly increases buckling capacity especially for those with large depth-tothickness ratio. Simple models proposed to predict improved performance due strengthening.
