摘要: Abstract Identification of the type and concentration bacterial organisms in amniotic fluid (AF) during labor might allow for earlier more effective treatment postpartum infections. Previous studies have identified typically associated with endometritis, but relationship to intrapartum findings has been disappointing. The purpose this prospective study was reassess any relationships between bacteriology AF course high-risk, noninfected, monitored gravid patient. flora similar 70 patients delivered vaginally 80 abdominally. In who did not receive prophylactic antibiotics, a total organism count ≥ 10 4 colonies/ml presence streptococcal or Bacteroides organism, gram-negative bacilus, staphylococcus aureus were significantly related morbidity. Under these conditions, cesarean section considerably increased risk clinical endometritis. These results suggest that semiquantitative culture obtained through intrauterine pressure catheter prior delivery may be value management by section.
