摘要: A large-scale perspective on the nature and geography of Himalayan river flow regimes across Nepal is provided using mean monthly data for 36 basins. classification approach used to group annual according their shape magnitude. The results suggest that timing length monsoon control regime precipitation amount determines magnitude regime. For shape, July-September peaks are typical central basins at lower altitudes; July-August characteristic moderate high altitudes eastern higher mountains; August confined western mountains. Low, intermediate classes correspond with basin rainfall totals; distribution explained by decreasing gradients from east west south north. Localized pockets exist possibly due affect topography characteristics in controlling
