摘要: During the period of our last review plant molecular systematics in Progress Botany 55 (1994) covering mid-1991 through mid-1993, field had seen movement to rapid DNA sequencing and large-scale attempts uncover relationships at all taxonomic levels. We raised question whether would future provide significant contributions myriad evolutionary questions either singly or concert with traditional data gathering. As will become clear, is forging ahead along both paths; sequence especially are providing insights into evolution not afforded by other means, but these increasingly being used parallel morphological, anatomical, cytological information.
