摘要: A scalable, energy efficient process for preparing cellulose nanofibers is disclosed. The employs a depolymerizing treatment with one or both of: (a) relatively high charge of ozone under conditions that promote the formation free radicals to chemically depolymerize fiber cell wall and interfiber bonds; (b) cellulase enzyme. Depolymerization may be estimated by pulp viscosity changes. followed concurrent mechanical comminution treated fibers, being done in any several comminuting devices, amount savings varying depending on type system conditions. Comminution carried out endpoint measures such as length, % fines slurry viscosity.
