摘要: Antibiotic treatment kills a large portion of population, while small, tolerant subpopulation survives. Tolerant bacteria disrupt antibiotic efficacy and increase the likelihood that population gains resistance, growing health concern. We examined how E. coli transcriptional networks changed in response to lethal ampicillin concentrations. are first apply regulatory network (TRN) analysis tolerance by leveraging existing knowledge our data. TRN shows gene expression changes specific likely caused sigma transcription factors typically regulated proteolysis. These results demonstrate survive concentration proteins change activity cause coordinated leverages multiple systems.
