Prevalence of common mental disorders in widowhood: A systematic review and meta-analysis

摘要: Abstract Background Widowed people have a high risk of common mental disorders, however no summary estimates the prevalences exist. The aim this study was to conduct systematic review and meta-analysis prevalence disorders in widowed community. Methods MEDLINE, Embase PsycInfo were searched for papers reporting on widowhood. Eligible studies included random effects meta-analyses depression anxiety disorders. Subgroup analyses performed method assessment age sex. Results literature search identified 13,781 titles which 42 eligible meta-analysis. pooled using screening scale 40.6% (33.6%–47.6%) (n = 30). For full diagnostic criteria 19.2% (13.4%–25.0%) (n = 12). (≥ or  Limitations are from existing literature. Although bias showed evidence, there could be some bias, as might only present results if is prevalence. Conclusions independent identifies population group at needing special attention clinical practice.
