摘要: This short review addresses the knowledge on curcumin use against parasite infections from traditional to modern medicine. Curcumin is active ingredient of turmeric (Curcuma longa). The extract rhizome has been traditionally used various diseases including parasitic infections. Recently, crude and its have explored with respect biological molecular activity many pathogens. antioxidant, antitumor, anti-inflammatory properties make it a promising natural drug be bacterial, fungal, viral agents. Antiparasitic effects attracted considerable attention over last decades. found display parasites both in vitro vivo. However, become obvious most cases at relatively high dose levels. bio-molecular cellular processes involved are not sufficiently understood present more research this area inevitable define actual applicability control measures therapy. We here available information therapeutic potential obtained studies, animal models, clinical trials.
