摘要: A representative of Teamsters Local 877 requested an evaluation the hazards asbestos exposure at Exxon Bayway Refinery and Chemical Plant, Bayway, New Jersey. Asbestos was extensively used for insulation this facility before 1972. Chest x-rays retired current workers with least 20 years employment were reviewed relationship work history to related x-ray abnormalities investigated. Oil-refinery petrochemical examined showed several on chest x-rays. Pleural more prevalent than parenchymal ones. Abnormal found among from various job categories, suggesting that exposures dispersed widespread. There a general between length appearance abnormalities. The authors conclude there is possibility increased risk lung cancer mesothelioma in exposed workers.
