摘要: This paper presents a protocol for efficient transaction management in an environment of replicated autonomous databases. Each copy has ownership over mutually exclusive portions the database. The improves response time and throughput by exploiting parallelism although reducing degree isolation. Most modifications to database are assumed be on locally owned portion database, with only occasional nonlocal writes/updates. Read operations, however can access either local or objects equally. We able prove that users our parallel system view it equivalent single providing "degree 2" isolation, i.e. replication is transparent application programmer. communication overheads limited allowing efficiently implemented even wide area networks. Experimental results using prototype demonstrating performance improvements presented.
