摘要: Publisher Summary A large variety of techniques are currently used for the production nanoparticles, either free or embedded in matrices. Most these multistep processes which post-deposition treatments needed to optimize particles size distribution and structure. Thus it is crucial have diagnostic allowing characterization particle structure, distribution, variation during processing. Vibrational spectroscopy and, particular, Raman Brillouin accomplish task providing information about confinement phonons small substructures. Despite its success widespread utilization, vibrational mesoscopic systems has not been developed with a unifying approach, many situations only as semi-automatic analytical tool determination distribution. The that can be characterized usually spans range between few nanometers several tens nanometers; beyond limits problems still open. structure below poorly known difficult describe theoretically. In presence different scales disorder coexistence allotropic forms makes interpretation scattering from carbon substantially unsolved problem. similar situation found on other bound hundreds nanometers.
