Large-energy mode-locked ytterbium-doped linear-cavity fiber laser based on chemical vapor deposition-Bi2Se3 as a saturable absorber.

摘要: We reported on the generation of pulse bunch and large-energy dark pulses in a mode-locked ytterbium-doped linear-cavity fiber laser based Bi2Se3 as saturable absorber (SA). nanosheets were successfully synthesized by chemical vapor deposition (CVD) method transferred to end facet connector for proposed SA. Its saturation intensity modulation depth measured be 52  MW/cm2 14.5%, respectively. By inserting Bi2Se3-based SA into Yb-doped all-fiber linear cavity, stable bunches observed. In addition, soliton operation with maximum average output power 32.6 mW energy 61.8 nJ also achieved. To best our knowledge, this is first demonstration within cavity much larger than previous works. Our study fully indicated that CVD-Bi2Se3 could an excellent achieving operations.
