Progressive Tension Sutures: A Technique to Reduce Local Complications in Abdominoplasty

摘要: Abdominoplasty has evolved as a very effective and satisfactory procedure, especially when combined with liposuction the repair of diastasis recti. However, local complications, including hematoma seroma formation, flap necrosis, hypertrophic scars, continue to plague this procedure. The authors present relatively simple reproducible technique that allows extensive in conjunction abdominoplasty; they think reduces incidence complications. This technique, use progressive tension sutures, been used their practice for more than 15 years. A retrospective review 65 consecutive abdominoplasty patients demonstrates low complication rate compared historical controls. In series both full modified who were followed an average 18 months, had no hematomas, seromas, or skin necrosis.
