摘要: To begin an in-depth comparative study of its photoreceptor membrane turnover compound eye fine structure in the crab Callinectes sapidus has been compared when light adapted at noon and dark midnight. Between these two states photoreceptive area increases by factors 3.71 distally, 1.77 proximally, 2.18 overall. In most retinulas rhabdomeric microvilli become longer, thicker, more numerous Correlated changes receptor cell cytoplasmic organelles are extensive some cases localized different retinular levels. Multivesicular lamellar bodies, adaptation, few midnight; perirhabdomal vacuoles reduced day but increase; well-developed smooth endoplasmic reticulum, cisternal noon, becomes saccular night. A minority midnight appear intermediate state perhaps incomplete adaptation. They have wavy instead usually straight ones, many multivesicular vacuoles. Ancillary elements implicated basic renewal process correlated shape, contents, relations crystalline cone, distal pigment cells, as well free macrophages or near retina. Clearly interaction between cycling adaptation is profound complex.
