摘要: This chapter deals with iterative joint source channel decoding and its application to image transmission. First, the problem of transmitting a correlated gaussian over an AWGN is considered. The implemented by Baum Welch algorithm estimating statistics. Iterations between MAP decoder are made improve global performance. scheme then applied transmission system, based on wavelet decomposition followed DPCM coding lowest frequency subband SPIHT high subbands. Simulation results show that significant performance gain obtained decoding, compared classical in case also
